Im switching to mythbuntu from MCE 2005. I want to know is there an easy way to make my comcast box work with this thing? I mean without all this bull about editing config files and text files and stuff? isnt there a way to do it with the remote or with the mouse?I have to say i love the interface and the added features more than MCE and config has been point and click so far. I just want a way to make my motorola comcast box work with the ir blasters without having to do alot of thinking and work and configging. any ideas?

For the motorola boxes many people have already created working config files for you. I haven't used mythbuntu's control center, but I believe it may set this all up for you.
If your motorola box has a firewire input, this can be easily setup to control the box (this is what I use).
Unfortunately, myth can require a lot of setup, but it has a lot features and functionality, and it is hard for that all to work for multiple uses on multiple hardware without some detailed setup.

argh...guess i will go back to windows. I coudnt find any config files that didnt require at least some editing. although i guess i could just give up digital and have analog and then that problem goes away
