Hello

I am using Ubuntu 7.04 with GIMP 2.2. I am trying to find out how to import pictures from a Digital Camera which is connected to the PC via an USB cable using GIMP. I tried to search through the GIMP help file, but could not locate anything conclusive!

I know that I can import pics in Ubuntu directly but I would like to do it using GIMP only.

So could any one please help me out?

Thank you.

In gimp do you get a disk(or anything else to say the card is read by the system) location in the left hand pane? if so click it.
ON 2.4 I just open files on the card much like i would open files in the pictures folders.

You should be able to go to to in GIMP:

File --> Open

You then should be able to select the image from you digital camera if it appears as a removable drive.
