Sorry if this is in the wrong spot. I had a nice triple boot setup w/tiger, ubuntu(gutsy), and vista.

Then disaster struck and I had to upgrade to Leopard.

Now I'm starting from scratch.

I was happy with ubuntu, but was curious as to the main differences w/ Kubuntu and

which one supports the mbp santa rosa better?

Any links or advice would be great. I was unable to find any details relating to my machine specifically...

Kubuntu and Ubuntu have the same base so as for stability, they should be pretty similar. In fact the differences between Ubuntu and Kubuntu are that in Ubuntu you have Gnom and in Kubuntu you have KDE desktop. You to try and decide what you prefer. I prefer Gnome, but I'll say that KDE is much more configurable. You can even install Ubuntu and have KDE desktop to see which you like more. Take a look of this http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/kdegnome

Ubuntu = Gnome
Kubuntu = KDE

Neither will be better/worse support for your Mac (or any machine really) as it is still the same GNU/Linux system under the desktop environment.
