i dont know exactly where to post this, but i saw someone a while back ago who posted that he created "ORANGE network signal bars" in replacement of the original BLUE gutsy network signal bars.

LINK: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=451095&highlight=orange+wireless

i notice that if that is possible, i was wondering if someone can replace the orange gutsy icons and make them into the OSX airport icon instead.

i wanted to do this because i still use that "notification area" applet on my main desktop top panel and i also use the mac4lin theme....

but with the "notification area" applet on the panel, the network icon doesnt match up with the mac theme. it instead shows the blue network icon...

so if someone can change the wireless icon from the "notification area" applet to make it OSX airport, that'd be awesome!

Thanks if anyone could help out. itd help everyone else too...

The latest version of the mac4lin icon set does that for me. Download it from gnome-look.org.

no it doesnt.
the airport icon only comes on if and only if i have my ethernet chord plugged in. It doesnt turn on if i have my wireless enabled and my ethernet unplugged.

anyone can help or does that icon come on for you guy already for wireless and NOT ethernet....
