I love Ubuntu and run it when I can. I run it off a second hard drive and have to make physical as well as bios changes to get it to run.
I run windows because my wife has an online job that runs on windows, and my job frequantly requires homework on windows.
Tommorow is my birthday. I just recieved an email from Ubuntu, wishing me a happy birthday.
Thats just an automated program running on a date. I will be 45, the birthday thing has kind of lost its zest.
I would very much like to thank Ubuntu, and all that is involved, for this email. It definanitly picked up my spirits. You wont get that from Microsoft.
You wont get that from Microsoft, not because they couldnt. It is over the counter software. Been around in some form since at least the 80s if not the 70s. You wont get that from Microsoft, because they dont care about there customers.
Now I get an email, from a bunch of people I dont really even know. They give you the OS, and then bend over backwards to help you make it work, and learn how to use it.
All I can say is thank you. You people are building a better planet. I am forced to run windows, but I love Ubuntu.
Thanks again!
