I've just installed Xubuntu 7.04 for my mum who was previously dead set against the idea, and because it can now almost do everything that she does in Windows, she's seriously considering the switch.

But she used to, to my bemusement, pay for some really basic, quite ****** games, that I am 90% sure Ubuntu can provide alternatives for, that she says she cannot live without.

Game like Magic Match. I don't know if any of you have played this, but basically it's a grid of jewels, and you have to link a set of jewels that match to remove them - the more you remove, the higher your score.

Or digger - Speaks for itself.

Another one she played was Hidden Expedition - Titanic. This is such a basic game - You're provided with a list of items that you've to search for in a room within a timelimit. An elaborate where's waldo game.

I'd be greatful if you guys can help me out by naming some decent replacements to these games, alternatives, or even similar games that I can install to keep her happy.

Thanks

You may not get any of the games you like on Linux as it's all made for Windows!

You may have a go running digger on Dosbox.. What is a free tool :)

"Magic Match" sounds exactly like Gweled which is in the repos and can be installed through 'Add/Remove..' in the main menu.
