Hardy has no official mockup yet...

I have seen there is a little confusion about mockups. There are no official ones yet, only ones made by users. Once there is one, though, it will be found on this page (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/Incoming/Hardy).

Do you know what any considerations are for a mock-up? Is there a thread here (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=16) that is leaning towards what the possible look is gonna be? Cus I was just wondering if the consensus leans toward which of the following:

More curves Vs. Less curves
Dark browns Vs. Light browns
Dark oranges Vs. Light oranges
More transparency Vs. Keeping it the same
Higher contrast Vs. Lower contrast (like window presence and color diversity)
Human Vs. Tango Icons
If higher definition icons for human/tango will be made or revised

any insights would be cool

As far as I know, no one knows what the theme will be yet, as Mark Shuttleworth gets to decide what the theme is. People are just submitting ideas at this point.

Mark gets the final call? why not a vote? That would be very democratic and interesting to see what people think. Making it a "community" choice would be kind of an interesting experiment

Because Mark funds Ubuntu, and he basically gets to have it how he wants it. Without Mark, there would be no Ubuntu.

Actually, it might not be glassy. The art devs have been against that (they want more of a matte theme). Right now it is still up in the air as to what is happening.

The Art devs are considering a matte theme? I'm cool with that, but if that's the case they'll have to get the textures and contrasts down to look nicer then the other themes out there with the flashy gloss effects. I'd be perfectly cool with Matte, I'd actually prefer it to anything vista/glossy-ish. But that clean aesthetic look and feel will have to be spot on
