Hi...

I just installed the latest version of MediaMonkey (www.mediamonkey.com), which is the very best music organizer I've ever used.. Sorry Amarok, but it's not even close...

My problem is (besides the non-working skins) adding files to the library. I got my music on an external harddrive, which I could select under Z:\media\my book. MediaMonkey finds those files, as the statusbar at the bottom shows. But I can't play those mp3s cause they are somehow linked to C:\media\my book (middle of the screen). Any ideas?

Wait, so you actually got Mediamonkey to play mp3s under Wine? I can get my Mediamonkey to handle ogg and wma, but not mp3s, no matter where they are.

Not a pretty solution, but you can install a stripped-down windows XP install (allocate 200-300 mb RAM) on virtualbox seamless mode and use that solely to fire up mediamonkey. That's what i do, at present.Use multiple workspaces to handle things easily.
The problem is, i simply can't find anything good enough to let go of mediamonkey.Windows just gets dragged along in the process. :(
