You should read through the WINE appdb entry for the game. It looks like it will work. On that same site, in the download section for WINE are instructions on how to install it on Ubuntu.

If you have any problems, please post back here with the commands you ran and the error messages (if any) you saw.

Edit: The install instructions are here: http://www.winehq.org/site/download-deb

i was able to install BR in Gutsy using WINE (0.9.47; 0.9.52).

although i had difficulty navigating through the installation process because the buttons appears differently. instead of the normal "back", "next", etc... what only appears are "button28", "button19", etc... and i have to use "TAB" to cycle through the different buttons :)

but after installation i can start BR through WINE application menu.

this pose another problem, BR response to mouse movement and keyboard is very "choppy"... also the movement of "LIQUID" logo at start-up up to the "walking" of units are slow... in short it's not yet usable.

but the audio seems fine or no lag at all :)

btw, i tried to adjust BR from lowest resolution up to highest but still got no improvement on response. i'm sure i'm missing something... please help :).

i think it's not the hardware because i can play BR on XP, though the buildings are not textured. but the response is ok.

thanks
