Hi everyone.
A recent update (I'm running kernel 2.6.22-12) to what I expect was the kernel (although that may have been for 2.6.22-14) has ruined my trackpad.
The darn thing won't scroll now, in either direction, middle-click or right-click using a double-chord or triple-chord.
My beautiful customised xorg.conf has been vaporised and replaced with a stock version.
But that's not all. System > Preferences > Mouse doesn't even show that I have a trackpad (no associated tab).
Neither is that all of it. Syndaemon -t -d won't do its magic either, meaning that in typing this post alone means that my pointer is dancing about all over the place like a hippo on a floor covered in marbles.
Does anyone know what might be causing these?
Thanks, guys.
Will
Oh, PS, does anyone know how I can set my trackpad so that double-chord-to-middle-click and triple-chord-to-right-click still work but bog-standard click-to-tap does not? Disabling tap to click in Mouse knocks these out, so I guess it'll be a tweak to xorg.conf, which despite the above (I only copy-and-pasted the provided section of xorg.conf), I am slightly reluctant to edit, since the last time I did without someone holding my hand, I broke my display manager.
Any help gratefully received!
