Hi, how do I enable the texture support? Apparently it makes 2D games run a lot faster and also there is another patch called something like Use Direct Draw over 3D. I looked on google....but I have no clue where to download or how install these patches. Any ideas? Thanks!

Edit: So I found both of the patches...well at least some old ones (http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-devel/2005-December/043059.html ). How would I install them? Thanks!

Those patches are already part of the main Wine core, you don't need to install them (as long as you already have the latest Wiine). In fact, I'm pretty sure that support has already been in Wine for well over a year now.

What 2D game are you trying to run that seems to be performing slowly?

Command and Conquer Red Alert is running horribly, this also goes back to that Soldat issue that I think I talked to you about in an earlier post. I'm just thinking that even with the loss of computing power I may lose through wine, my computer should be more than capable of running it. I was just looking for other explanations other than my computer wasn't powerful enough. Thanks for the reply.
