Open Arena won't start after upgrade from synaptic. I have all the correct driver's click on Open Arena and nothing happens at all. It doesn't even attempt to launch.

I'd bet that this is a drivers issue. Happened to me with ATI propriety drivers for example, so I reverted to default ones. Now it works but randomly freezes.

I have been wondering that myself. If anybody out there knows that would be awesome. I really love OpenArena. Rail games are insanely hectic but fun.

try to launch open arena from the terminal, and see what the system has to say about it

I found the answer! www.getdeb.net and download the newest version of open arena!! three files are there and then the internet games all work!!
