Hi,

This probably is not the place to ask this, but I have no idea where to start...

I am preparing a presentation. During the presentation, I want to use an animation of globe[1] where the globe:

1. starts up as itself
2. starts slowly to change in dimensions, but it will have same volume -- europe and US grows in size, other parts become smaller
3. this goes on slowly
4. at the end, the US and Europe are now as big as the earth itself, while everything else is as small as a simple line...

This should be very simple to do I guess, but I just cannot seem to make it myself. I tried GIMP and Inkscape, but I could not change the shape of the globe in a way that would fit the above animation... Any clues are greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

If you have some gimp skill you could always try Gimp Animation Program (GAP). But it would take a while. (I take it your presentation has been shown by now?) But for future reference there is GAP
