Hello,

I recently installed Ubuntu 7.04 on my Apple PPC iBook laptop. I am having a weird and annoying problem with the mouse. It clicks when it's supposed to click, but in addition, sometimes it performs a "click" when I didn't actually click it! That is to say, I didn't physically click the button, but the software acts as if I did. If the mouse happened to be over a link in Firefox, then all of a sudden Firefox will follow that link. If I'm scrolling down a menu, the option I'm scrolling past will suddenly be chosen. This happens both when I use the trackpad and when I use an external USB mouse (in addition to the trackpad, but I'm not touching the trackpad at all). It seems to happen more often when I'm moving the mouse, but I think it happens sometimes when I'm not actively using the computer at all. I'm dual booting with MacOS and have never had a similar problem with it. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I'm having the opposite Problem, sometimes i click the mouse, but the computer acts as if i didn't click the mouse (using a external mouse, not the touchpad). I removed the "touchpad" entries from my xorg.conf, then i feel that it got a bit better, but i am still having problems (but then, this might also be the fault of my very old mouse...).
Maybe you can also try removing the touchpad entries from xorg.conf, just to see whether it makes any difference.
