Once, I installed xubuntu 7.10 successfully on my ibook G4. But after I installed, I couldn't boot up. So I fomatted it. Unluckily, I found a solution in the forum by just changing the yaboot.conf. splash->nosplash.
So I decided to install 7.10 again through livecd. But this time, I can never install completely. When I installed about a process of 82%, it promted me this message: The specified ubuntu archive mirror is either not available or does not have a valid release file on it. Please try a different mirror. I will be appreciated if anyone can tell me the reason.
Thanks again for help!

Try using the alternate install CD. It can be found here (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/ports/releases/7.10/release/xubuntu-7.10-alternate-powerpc.iso).

Thanks. I found the problem. It's because my livecd damaged for installing for 5 times! I rerecorded one. And everything goes ok. Thank you all the same!
