View Full Version : Ubuntu-PH Planet Updates

December 18th, 2007, 06:28 AM
I sent this on the mailing list last Sunday, but I forgot to post it here.

Good morning;

This is still in line with the recent Site Development upgrades. I'm now
working on the Ubuntu-PH Planet and would like to further improve it by
asking for your hackergotchis - that is if you're willing to have your
grinning face on Planet. Obviously, this only applies to those who're already
syndicated but without hackergotchis.

Also, if you have a blog and would like to be part of Planet, please reply
with your RSS feed and hackergotchi. I'll immediately update Planet pending
approval from Zak and Jerome. There's only 5 requirements you need to meet

1) You're a Filipino. If you're a foreigner, you must be residing within the
Philippine territory.
2) an Ubuntu user
3) Strictly uphold the Ubuntu Code of Conduct
4) Your hackergotchi should be scaled to roughly 100x100 pixels.
5) You must blog about Ubuntu or FOSS at least once in a while.

Conditions: We reserve the right to remove any feed that is inaccessible,
flooding the page, or otherwise interfering with the operation of the Planet.
We also have the right to move clearly offensive content or content that
could trigger legal action.

Lastly, Ubuntu-PH Planet updates daily, around 8:30AM UTC. I think this is
acceptable for everyone especially since there's only a couple of blogs and
we don't want to use up resources unnecessarily - Ubuntu-PH is, afterall,
hosted on a shared server.

Oh, and don't forget to send me your blog link (if you're using feedburner or similar services) and your complete name. And please reply directly to my email address: knightlust@ubuntu.com, there's no reason to spam this post unless you have questions.

Thanks all!
