Apt-Get not recognizing CD

When I was trying to install G++ and Kubuntu it tell me to insert a ubuntu CD, even if it is already in the disc drive. However when i inserted the disc, it opened up Synaptic.

Have you tried removing it from the repository list and then adding it back in (assuming you want to install from CD).
