File Transfer to a Virtual Machine

Ok, I'm fairly new to Ubuntu and I just recently installed Windows XP on a virtual machine using VirtualBox. Everything went perfectly (more or less) but I am wondering how one could transfer files from Ubuntu to the virtual Windows XP machine.

You can share a USB drive.

You can install the Virtualbox tools on the windows guest and share a partition.

You can use a network protocol such as nfs, samba, ftp, http

Personally I use network protocols.
