I'm busy trying to tweak the icon theme on my feisty box and I've got stuck on changing the icons on the splash sreeen (between GDM and desktop).

Does anyone know what the size and name of the icons this splash screen uses are?

I've found one lead at:

http://osdir.com/ml/gnome.themes/2003-12/msg00006.html

,but it is quite old and I'm not sure if it still reflects the current situation, especailly as ubuntu seems to follow a *special* naming scheme for a few things.

Cheers.

check in /usr/share/icons
there should be a few folders under that and I think the default is a mix between Human and gnome.

I tried changing the icons as well and the only one I got to change was the halt icon. you will need to create links in the theme folder you are using...

Perhaps I should clarify my question. I know where to find the icons; the thing I would like to know is *which* icons it is that i should be looking to change. For example: *which* icons in human / gnome are used so I can replace them.

Cheers
