avchd to dv conversion

Hi there, i've recently purchased a new panasonic camera that records on the new AVCHD codec, now while i'm pretty sure that nothing edits this natively at the moment (although avid has something soon i believe - no joy for us OSS adicts however) i am looking for something to convert to DV for editing. Does anyone know of a good linux conversion tool that will do this for me?

Just for an update for others that might be looking for this stuff as well, pinnacle systems have currently released a trial version that seems to edit avchd natively, this however, is not a linux product (yeah, windows sucks..), also not free (of course!!)... anyway, that's where this is at the moment.. for the record, i think i'll be shooting in DV so that i can edit in linux... :)
