Totem Low Image Quality

Hi
I bought a Dell Inspiron 1420 and I have it already updated to 7.10. A couple of weeks I watched a movie on Totem and everything was fine. However, right now I'm trying to watch another one on a trip (running only on batter power) and the image quality is pretty bad. It seems the red colors are the only ones active.
Do you have any ideas? Is it something that was recently updated? Because I had recently used it without any troubles.

Is it the same movie or not?

do you use totem-gstreamer or totem-xine?

I'm using xine.
Also, it's not the same movie, but it's a movie that I had tried first when I added the extra libraries, so I know it used to work.
