I just acquired a HP (Compaq) nc6400 with XP. I installed Ubuntu 7.10 with a dual boot option with no problems, but the graphics card does not seem to work with the desktop effects. It is a ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 wit 256 megs of memory. Does anyone know if this video card is supported and if so, where and how can I download the updated drivers? I am new to Ubuntu and Linux in general, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

system>admin>restricted drivers.

Presuming you have a working internet connection just click 'enable accelerated ati graphics card.

Restart and you should be all set.

When I do that I got a message like this.

The software source for the package

xorg-driver-fglrx

is not enabled.

How do I enable that?

Thanks again!
