Hi, first of all i'd like to start by saying that i am a returning linux user. I haven't used it for a number of years, and before that i wasn't a guru either.
I've gone from the computer hobbyist to someone who just likes to get stuff done. Dissapointed with windows vista i decided to give ubuntu gutsy a try.
For that i bought a cheap asus barebone setup with a ati x1200 integrated. I also have an x550 from a one-year-old setup hanging around. Now first of all, is the x1200 superior to the x550? ( i remember the good ol' days when you knew what hardware was suprior to what without spending a lot of your time following the market)
And second, now can i -and if so how - do i get the compiz fusion eyecandy to work. I tried searching around here and yes i have installed the proprietary drivers and yes i have installed the application that let's you configure the eyecandy. But the key shortcuts are dead, they do nothing.
what should i do?
