i'm playin around with it and i noticed it doesnt really do what the kiba dock does but i got it because i was told it was more stable

Kiba-dock probably have some more features and such yes, but it isn't as light as AWN. They both works fine for me though. You can always install the awn-extras (https://launchpad.net/awn-extras) too though.
