Tried searching for a previous topic, none found.

I am wondering if there is an easy way to return all custom icons to their defaults in GNOME.

Also, is there a reason many icons don't change to a selected theme? For example, I have gtkpod installed but when I change the icon theme (to say gPerfection2) the icon in the menu for gtkpod does not change to the gPerfection2 icon (one which exists in the icon theme folder, under the name "gtkpod.png"). I am dreadfully afraid I will have to manually edit these icons every time an update to the icon theme comes down line.

Note, this was originally posted in Desktop Help, but someone suggested I would do better to post it here.

On the desktop you can rt-click>properties>remove custom icon. Everything else you'll have to do manually.

I see that in the gperfection theme all different sizes are specified but there is only a gtkpod.png for 24x24 and 48x48. So, if the menu is looking for a 32x32 it will revert to the default because it thinks you prefer to use the correct size icon over scalling the rt icon.
