plug-ins and animation

A good friend loaded Ubuntu on my computer a few weeks ago, and I'm still experimenting with it. I saw some desktop graphics that I would like to add. They are 'magic lamp and explode'.
He suggested I go on this forum letting you know that I have the following and someone might be able to help me
Ubuntu 7.10
Gnome
3D enabled
8800GTS 320 video card
nVidea drivers
Compiz installed and enabled

Make sure Advanced Desktop Effects is installed:

sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager

Now open System>Preferences>Advanced Desktop (..)

Go to Effects>Animations>Minimize-animation>Edit>Choose magic-lamp.

You can do the same with "Close-animation" "Open-animation" etc..

Remember to set Visual Effects (Compiz) to custom.
