Hello All,
I would like to present another update since announcing Gnome Metal. Striving for something completely original I sat thinking for a while then looked at my HP laptop... I call it Gnome Metal “Waves”. The creation of the waves for a 1400x1200 pixel area has taken me 15 hours over the last 2 days.
The waves will be optional, along with the plain version, available both in clear and vague/watermark versions, previewed is the clear version.
This show cases 2 things. 1, the transparent buttons/tabs I've created that you wouldn't normally notice, as you can see the lines flow behind the buttons. Most importantly it show cases Linux. I believe this is totally new to any operating system and most likely isn't possible on any other OS.
As well as the optional waves there will be a choice of colour for the highlighted Buttons/Tabs; Pink, Blue and Black. You can see the blue from the first pick.
This entire theme is totally original made completely from within Gimp over the past 2 weeks(working on it full time). This is in fact my first experience using this Gimp after wiping Vista/Photoshop from my system several months ago. Much credit goes out to everyone that contributes on the internet, all credits will be announced with the official release.
Like Mac4Lin & iMetal I am working towards a total conversion only with the addition of original gnome metal icons.
Again I would like to ask anyone gifted in the area of Vector Graphics to contact me in regards to helping make a completely new set of Icons.
Thank you all.
