VMWare overrides linux workspace keyboard shortcuts

Hi, I'd like to be able to run Windows XP on VMWare maximized on one of the workspaces and still being able to use keyboard shortcuts to jump to linux workspaces. For example by ctrl-alt-arrow (left/right). How can I do this?
