Strange dvd playback isssue.

Not sure why this is happening, but subtitles don't work. Well they do, at least if you enable subtitles.

The ones I'm referring to are the ones that are always on. Meaning that if you're watching a movie that is in English, but they occasionally have non-English parts, the subs are not working.

If I enable subtitles throughout the movie, they work, but again, only for the English parts. An example of this, I just watched Once Upon a Time In Mexico and during the Spanish speaking parts, there were no subtitles.

Anyone know a fix for this?

I am running everything as current, though I did install off of the RC1

Using internal DVD player? Or xine or mplayer or totem?

This is using the Internal DVD Player. It's the oddest thing, I always thought that the default subtitles that movies had were part of the actual video stream, rather than a separate entity.

Edit: Apparently I'm not the only one who has experienced this. Though I haven't found the solution yet (of course I googled it before I posted here the first time around, but this time around I actually hit this thread.
