Hi,
Is there a version of google sketch up for Ubuntu?

Currently, No.
Although it looks interesting that the application requires .NET 1.1, which begs me to ask "will it work wint Mono"?
I don't know if it is an application, though, that will work with Wine.

Because it uses .NET, it won't work with WINE, at least not until Mono and WINE join together (which will probably never happen). :(

So, as soon as Microsoft realizes that breaks the ability to use Wine they should be converting all of their apps over to .NET (if they aren't already). Bummer.
Oh well, this gives VMware more business ;)

You can use SketchUp with Wine.

Have a look at this page:

Seems Sketchup version 7.0 works OK with latest wine.

Sounds interesting, I definitely gonna try it out. I used Sketchup a lot on Windows, but I haven't used it for ages, because I discovered Linux.
