What version of Wine are you using? Bnet has problems with some versions of Wine, but apparently works correctly with the most current version, 0.9.50.

I'm experiencing this right now in intrepid!
I'm using wine 1.0.1 and everything works except when I log onto b.net starcraft crashes!
Any ideas? SC used to work in Hardy, infact it worked in Intrepid right before the update I did today, but I can't remember what it was I updated. Is there a way to roll back updates?

I deleted my .wine folder and it works again!
But sound still cuts out sometimes. Any ideas?
Does anyone know how TransGaming got Starcraft to work so well? A friend of mine uses Cedega and the Battlenet menus display properly, as well as sound. Only, he can't alt-tab out of Starcraft!

Transgaming does some closed source stuff and the code base has been separated from Wine for a very long time do to Licensing disputes. Differing views on using the Cedega software here.
I for one use it and think it works well some would disagree.
