MS office is the leading office software on the market, but Open office is just as capable. if MS office intergration is what you want always save writer files in doc format (word's native format), impress files in a ppt format (powerpoint's format) etc etc

While OOo is great, it is not perfect at working with .doc files. There will be some things lost in translation.

you'll have to forgive me but I kinda fell in love with Office 07's new look.
I use AbiWord and OOo though. But that look is really cool and usable!
