in order to get my wireless card to register and work i had to enable my restricted driver "Broadcom 43xx chipset firmware" so i did the system told me i needed to restart my computer in order for it to work.

Before i restarted the computer i could connect to the wireless router fine, however after restarting ubuntu it isnt even registering that i have a wireless card....

i went into the synaptic package manager and tried to install everything firmware related to wirless card and well unfortunitly it is still not registering that i have a wireless card unless i disable then re-enable the restricted drivers, which i need to be hardwired into my wireless router for...

Please help i think i am going crazy with this issue.

before you go crazy installing everything under the sun, you should try searching the forums. the link the previous poster left will scan your hardware and install the correct driver for you. now i would recommend uninstalling everything you installed previously before continuing because it will likely get in the way of your wifi card work correctly.
