Hi All
Don't know if this is a stupid question, but which is the best gcc version for compiling opensource code on hoary?
I see in synaptic that gcc-3.3-base is installed, but there is also the following available:
gcc-3.3 (simply labled the GNU C compiler)
gcc-3.3-doc
as well as gcc-3.4, gcc4.0.
I'd only like to install that which is officially supported. Which repo should I point to and which individual debs should I install?
Thanks
