[SOLVED] Mythbuntu update renders remote inert

I ran an update and now my remote doesn't seem to work now, I am fairly familiar with lirc but restarting lirc doesn't solve anything. I tried regenerating the lircrc file and that doesn't seem to have helped anything.

Do you know what package that was updated to cause this to happen?

Was it a mythtv update, mythbuntu-control-centre, or mythbuntu-lirc-generator update?

I managed to resolve it, I regenerated the lircrc and did an actual reboot and that resolved the issue.
