Software question - Beading Pattern Program

This is probably NOT the right place for this post, I could find no other area for it.
I am seeking a pattern making program for Ubuntu, for making bead patterns and cross stitch patterns.
Any ideas of where I could find this?

I was wondering if you were able to find a cross stitch program, as my DMC cross stitch program does not wont to run on ubuntu. I would be grateful for any information that might help me.

KXStitch (http://kxstitch.sourceforge.net/) might be what you are looking for. I have never tried it just found it by looking around on google. It appears to be a KDE app but should work fine in gnome. Looks like you might have to compile it from source. Anyway Hope that helps and peace.

I do not know if you are still in the search of such a programme, but there is a plugin for the gimp that does the job. Sorry I do not remember the name but a quick search will do the job!
