problem typing in telugu

HI friends.....

I am just installed 7.10 and I want to type in telugu. Some of my friends are using Fedora 8 and they are able to type in telugu using SCIM. I cant find the same on my Ubuntu machine. Please tell me how to type in telugu in my Ubuntu box. Please somebody help me.......
