MythTV seems to think that I have a very large screen - perhaps a 1600x1200 display. I know that I can edit the GUI height and GUI width, but how do I force my full-screen resolution to 1024x768?

I am running Mythbuntu on a VMWare screen on Windows XP. The higher resolution makes me scroll around the window to see the full screen. I want to change my full-screen resolution within MythTV, and not as a function or setting of VMWare. Any advice?

What resolutions are you offered as options under the mythbuntu desktop screen settings? There's normally a range you can choose from.

Open MCC. You should be able to change the size there under Proprietary Drivers > Launch Xorg Config

Thanks for the replies, ubnewbie2 and tgm4883. I ended up re-partitioning my drive and doing a clean install of Ubuntu and then installing Mythbuntu. My machine just wasn't fast enough to do VMware and MythTV, and I knew I would run it native eventually. Everything seems to be fine now with the resolution.
