View Full Version : Channel Sorting Issues - 2 Sources, changed names

Thanks to some help here, I have now finally gotten my hd and my sd cards working with listings. However, I now have a new issue that I have not yet seen a solution for yet.

As with most cable companies, comcast changes the channel numbers to make them lower in the listings. Here in Boston, it comes out like this (just a sample):

Station, cable number, broadcast number

NBC 7 7
ABC 5 5
Fox 13 25
CW 12 56

To get scheduling, I used cable for my sd, and broadcast for my HD, and scanned for HD channels. Myth being smart renumbered the channels to match the broadcast hd numbers (97.2 renumbered to 25.1 for fox hd). This works great for numbers that match (nbc, abc), as 7.1 comes after 7 and before 8. However, the higher numbers come way later in the sort.
I thought it would be easier to read if I renumbered the channels (in the channel editor). So, I changed 25.1 to 13.1, 56.1 to 12.1, etc. Then I re-populated the database. However, the location in the listings did not change. Now 13.1 is listed somewhere after 25 (actually, if I remember correctly, after 36).
Is there a way to manually sort the channels to make everything mesh up? It is functional as is, but kind of irritating, and not very family friendly.

Thanks in advance.
