ubuntu 7.10 & first class s/w

hi all,
I use a lump of s/w called
firstclass
http://www.firstclass.com/clientdownloads/FC83LinuxDownloadPage

to access my open university account.
www.open.ac.uk
since the last upgrade to 7.10 a couple of days ago
I can't reply to a message posted in any of the conferences.
It dies and forces me to " force quit " the appication.
I know this is a minor problem 'cos I doubt many others use this s/w,
but anyone any ideas?
I'm going to attempt to uninstall/reinstall
it tonight/tmw and see if it persists.

forget it just downloaded and re installed the firstclass s/w and it's all go now

Yay! I'd installed the linux version on 7.10 amd64 and it didn't seem to work so was going to ask for advice - following your post I've tried again having rebooted, and it works! And there was me thinking I had a 64bit issue.
