Good Day,
A quick question. What is the best way to run Doom2. I can run it in wine.(This is Doom2 for Windows) Also I do have the Doom2 for dos. I could use DosBox also but I'm looking for a native option to run Doom2. I heard of several way to do it but I would like an opinion on which is the best option.
Thanks, Eddie

I believe there is a way to use a native app and just use the Doom2 data files, wad files. I hear that the native ones have better engines, ect.
Thanks, Eddie

I could have sworn you could just install LXdoom or one of those and then put the wad files in the proper dir and play Doom 2 to your hearts content.. Did not seem like it was that complicated..

Im sure that you can if LXdoom will work properly. I've also read about some other apps that will run doom wads. I believe one of them is called DoomsDay. I'm not sure. If I knew what they were then I could check them out. Anyway thanks for telling me about LXdoom.
