Splash screen of some kind or other

Come on, post your original splash screens!

I made one using GIMP, just coming from Windows and so trying to figure out how to make things work is like learning all over again... well, except that I have ideas about how things should look after.

How do you set an image as your splash screen?

look for "splash" in add and remove. or try Ubuntu Tweak, that can do it too.
