Crayon Physics

Has anyone seen this new game its called Crayon Physics. but its only 4 windoze. i tried running it through wine but got no succses, any ideas????

I have seen this game.. it's pretty cool. The guy is actually making another one soon that looks a lot cooler. you can check it out on here (http://www.kloonigames.com/crayon/)
maybe when its done it will run on wine. I hope so.

Run 'winecfg' and go to the "Audio" tab and untick all the options (i.e. disable all sound). Then it works... and it's fun. I am sure there is a way to get sound working, I think it's a problem with the Ubuntu/Wine setup.

Make sure you also install MSVCP60.DLL available online. Either copy it to the same folder as crayon or to .../windows/system.

there are some other really cool games on that site too, the zombie one with blood spatter based on the popular falling sand games is really cool

easy way to download and install it: run a free program called PlayOnLinux!
(you can get it here: http://www.playonlinux.com/script_files/PlayOnLinux/2.0.9/PlayOnLinux_2.0.9.deb)

On first run, just push the "Install" button, choose "game" then scroll down to "Crayon Physics" and it does the rest!

The only problem ive had was that PlayOnLinux cant recognize my (albeit, crappy) graphics card/3d acceleration. Still tryin to work on that one, but the game plays fine!

there are only a few levels though...ive downloaded some new level packs, but i dont know how to install them! if anyone can help, id gladly appreciate it!

I don't see it in the list.

You need to enable the Community repository. Go to Settings->Repositories and choose Community. Click next until done.

You should now be able to install Crayon Physics by clicking on install, choose Game and then choose Crayon Physics.

Crayon Physics is cool, but I think Phun is better. And it has a native linux client.
Runs right out of the directory.
