Well, I've finally started work on the metatheme(s) I had been designing (previously to be called 'Mostly Human', now known simply as 'Glow').
The question I have is in regard to the prelight effects for button/scrollbar widgets.
Is there a way that a theme can utilize color independance for a prelight effect, or would color variations have to be 'hardcoded' as individual gtk+ and metacity variations?
What I wan't:
The buttons are dropshadowed, and appear to hovering. I would like the prelight to illuminate the button text (similar to a backlit effect) as well as cast a similar glow effect on the area below the button in it's prelight state.
