Advanced Desktop Effect Manager

I downloaded some updates for compiz and gnome today using the system update manager...

now i cant make any changes to the settings in the advanced package manager....

however all the effects which were already enabled are working fine

has this happened to any of the other users??
i have attached a screenshot...

Open CCSM (compiz config settings manager/advanced effects)>Preferences>Plugin list, and make sure that "automatic pluging sorting" is enabled.
