Hi all. I've been a big fan of Battle for Wesnoth for the last 8 or so months. I always seem to go back to it. Recently I just finished "Under the Burings Suns" an RPG style campaign. It's very very good - my favorite so far. So I was thinking about plaing a new one, but am not sure which one. I've now tried all the installed ones so I'll have to download one. Thing is there is a fair number of them and they all look pretty darn fun. I'm real picky about gameplay balance, so don't feed me any softies. Are there any campaigns that anybody can recommend?

Heir to the Throne is meant to be the most advanced and longest one, so I hear. Also, try the add-ons server where you can download a load of new campaigns to play.

You could always try the latest versions of some of the campaigns you played when you first got the game. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten to the point of needing to try out the add-on campaigns, but I know a lot of the official ones have been heavily updated, especially in the latest dev releases (UtBS comes to mind as one that's been updated a ton lately).

You might want to try the forums on wesnoth.org as well, though you've probably checked by now. It's worth a look, and make sure to mention what you're looking for in a campaign, there are many different modes of play you could go for, so you'll get better answers if you look for campaigns that are similar to your favorites in some way.
