Hi guys, I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 64-bit version, and I have some questions. When I fire up Nexuiz, the game plays flawlessly for about 10 minutes, then encounters a severe lag spike, and proceeds to switching from fullscreen mode to windowed mode, covering about 1/4 of the desktop. If I double click on the window, it goes back to fullscreen mode, and the problem reoccurs. The same thing has happened with Cube 2 except that I can't go back to fullscreen mode anymore. Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I'm running an nVidia 7600 GS 256 mb PCI-E. The card runs at about 30c idle and 45 max.

Well, I figured it out some time ago, forgot to post back until now. My problem was that I activated auto updates from the little weather widget that goes on the top bar. Deactivating the auto update feature should fix the problem, I'm not exactly sure why, but auto update seems to disrupt any fullscreen application that's running. Hope this helps!

Wow! I was tearing my hair out trying to figure this one out...decided to do a quick glance at the gaming forum before posting, and I'm glad I did.
I could not for the life of my figure out how zsnes and openarena could have the same symptoms. I guess Weather widget is to blame...I'm off to deactivate auto-update I guess :p
Edit: turning off weather updates seems to have fixed it. Thumbs up for the fix :)
