Hi All,
I Am using gutsy with compiz.

Under System->preferences

I have a GL Desktop launcher and a
advanced Desktop effects settings launcher.

The latter takes me to the usual compiz setup area
the former takes me to a abbreviated compiz like setup..

So what exactly is GL Desktop and what does it control?

Thanks

Gnome Compiz Manager has been designed to configure Compiz and it's plugins before the Compiz Fusion project took over plugins development. So it's not the proper tool to use in Gutsy. Remove it like BarfBag posted and use solely ccsm.
