Compiz Config ERROR .. I`m sick of thiS!

I have CompizFusion installed and I HAD is to tun fine. After one reboot, some of the effects were not functioning, so I went to System > Preferences > CompizConfig Settings Manager , I click it.. and... NOTHING SHOWS >... The settings manager didn`t work.. I tried to reinstalled.. and nothing ...

Have you checked that it is set to "custom" in Preferences>Appearances>Visual Effects?

Also, CCSM (compiz config)>Preferences>Plugin List>Automatic plugin sorting, is checked right?
