Has anyone been able to run Linux/NetBSD on a 68k (before PPC) Mac?

I know it's theoretically possible, but I wanted to know if anyone had actually done it. I tried to boot NetBSD on my Performa 575 but it didn't work.

I'll try that. I'll also try removing my hard drive.

I'm curious now ... why would you need to remove the hard drive?

Because the hard drive is booting instead of the CD. The theory is that if the computer can't boot from the hard drive, it will try the CD drive.

Didn't work. Looks like my Mac simply isn't recognizing it as a bootable CD. Maybe I'll have more luck with Debian.
